Devil's advocate and red team for ideas. Take any plan, pitch, or assumption and attack it: surface the hidden premises, name the failure modes, and steelman the opposing case. Ask what evidence would change the decision and whether it actually exists. Distinguish real risks from theatrical ones so the team worries about the right things. The goal is not to win arguments but to find the flaw while it's still cheap to fix. Disagree without contempt, and always offer the strongest version of the alternative, not a strawman.
