Ask for it instead of going to find it
Your agent can act on crystl itself: stage text for copying, hand you a button that runs the command, add a task, book work for tomorrow. What you need shows up because you asked.
# the end of an ordinary task, from the agent's side
$ crystl copy "postgresql://localhost:5432/crystl_dev" --label "dev dsn"
Staged in the copy bar (tab 1)
$ crystl card "migration is ready. run it?" \
--action-label "run migration" --action-command "npm run db:migrate"
Card delivered
$ crystl workbench add "backfill the 2026 rows" \
--detail "after the migration lands"
Added to WORKBENCH.md
$ crystl schedule add --gem crystl-web --at "2026-10-09 09:00" \
--prompt "check the backfill finished"
Scheduled for tomorrow at 09:00
just-ask control is the part of crystl your agents can operate. Not your code, the app. Most of it is the end of an ordinary task: the agent finishes, and instead of printing a wall of text for you to pick through, it hands you the thing you actually need. A connection string staged in the copy bar (crystl copy). A button that runs the migration (crystl card). The follow-up written onto the workbench so neither of you forgets it (crystl workbench add). A check booked for tomorrow morning (crystl schedule add).
Every one of those is a control you would otherwise have gone to find, or a step you would have done by hand. The agent is a second pair of hands on your own window, and the everyday commands for it are free on every tier: crystl copy, crystl card, crystl schedule add, crystl markdown show, crystl screenshots and crystl activity open. Workbench writes and facet inserts need a guild membership.
It also reaches configuration, where nothing appears on screen at all. crystl settings set rail right moves the rail and applies it live, crystl endpoint set fills in the whole providers and keys form so an agent can wire up a model endpoint it researched for you, and crystl agent profile set teaches crystl your model lineup. All of it runs over the local crystl CLI, so it works with agents like Claude Code, Codex or Antigravity CLI rather than any one vendor's.
Why it matters
Text handed to you, not printed at you
crystl copy stages a token, a URL or a generated snippet in the copy bar with a one-click Copy button, so you never drag-select across wrapped terminal lines. Editable first. Free on every tier.
A button instead of an instruction
crystl card floats a card with the command already loaded, so your agent hands you a working button rather than telling you what to type. One click runs it in that shard. Free on every tier.
The task list you both write to
crystl workbench add puts the follow-up on the shared list in the slide-out panel, with a title you can scan and the detail underneath. What the agent noticed survives the end of the conversation.
Say later and mean it
crystl schedule add books a prompt or a shell command for a time you name, and an overdue one runs once as catch-up. Repeat a flag to rotate a different task through each day. Three are free.
Setup you can ask for
Move the rail, change the terminal surface, wire up a model endpoint, teach crystl your model sizes, save a window layout. Scoped to documented commands and whitelisted keys over a loopback bridge.

Gems & Shards
Gems, shards, and the crystal rail keep every project one click away.
Floating Cards
See what every agent needs from you, the moment it needs it.
Agent Activity Panel
One live view of every agent across all your gems: who's working, who's idle, and where tokens are going.
Schedule Agents
Launch a fresh agent at a set time (once, daily, or weekdays). Pick the gem, agent, model, and prompt; crystl fires it on schedule.
Automation (Sequences)
Automate the work you keep doing by hand. Write the job down once and let a schedule, a file landing, or a watched URL run it for you.
Parallel Sessions
Run multiple Claude instances on the same repo in separate git worktrees.
Hero Shards
Summon a single hero as a shard (its own agent, model, and persona) without a quest party.
View Modes
Read a session as a terminal, as a conversation beside it, or as a conversation filling the window. The terminal keeps running either way.
History Navigator
Browse, jump through, and search every session: conversation and tool calls.
Token Tracking
Track token burn per shard, estimate turns left, and reclaim context window by disabling heavy plugins and skills.
Workbench
A slide-out task list in every project, backed by a WORKBENCH.md the agent reads and writes with you.
Markdown Editor
Render and edit any .md in a side panel. Toggle it from the workbench, and let agents open docs for you from the CLI.
Prompt Integration
Facet Inserts give you one-click access to saved prompts, commands, and shortcuts.
Agent File Editor
Create, edit, and manage CLAUDE.md, rules, skills, and agent config files with a block editor, file chooser, and project optimizer.
Project Optimizer
Scan your project for gaps in agent configuration (missing files, incomplete docs, oversized code, and setup issues) with one-click fixes.
Skills Library
Browse and import agentic skills that teach agents like Claude Code or Codex new tricks: code review, testing, deployment, and more.
cavrn terminal
The terminal as structured data: every turn, tool call, result, and table captured as agent-readable metadata. Drawn fast on the GPU with Metal.
Remote Development
Full crystl integration over SSH: approval cards, file relay, and click-to-open on remote machines.
Open Models
Run open models locally or hosted, orchestrate them with frontier agents, and cut token costs.
Agent Orchestration
One agent spawns, supervises, and merges the work of many: a control room for a team of coding agents.
crystl quest
Assemble a party of specialized agents. Each brings unique skills, coordinates in shared chat, and executes in parallel.
Screenshot Bar
Drag recent screenshots into the terminal. Spotlight-powered, always up to date.
Copy Bar
A one-click copy bar under the terminal. Agents stage text, you click Copy. Editable, up to 10 tabs, free.
