The facet bar sits below the terminal with pill buttons for your most-used prompts. Click one and the text goes straight to your agent: no typing, no copy-paste. Configure which facets appear by flipping the terminal to reveal settings.

Each facet button holds a loadout of up to 8 prompts. The one at the top is equipped; it fires when you click the button. Swap which prompt is equipped by dragging to reorder the list in settings. With 3 buttons, you get quick access to up to 24 different prompts.

Choose from three types: prompts that send text to your agent, commands that run in the shell, and shortcuts that trigger actions. Guild members get access to a library of 200+ ready-made inserts.

Frequently asked questions

How many facet inserts can I have?
Your library is unlimited on every plan, including free. Each of the 3 facet buttons can hold up to 8 prompts in a priority list, giving you quick access to 24 prompts from 3 buttons; the rest of the library stays a click away in the menu.
Can I share facets between projects?
Yes. Facets are global, so they appear in every gem and shard.
What's the difference between a prompt and a command?
Prompts send text to your agent's input. Commands execute directly in the shell. Shortcuts trigger crystl actions.
Can I import facets from the Prompt Library?
Yes. The library has 200+ inserts organized by category. Click to import any of them.
How do I configure which facets appear?
Click the gear icon next to the facet bar, or go to Settings > Facet Inserts. Drag prompts within a slot to reorder the priority list.
