Run agents across a dozen shards and you lose the thread of who's doing what. The Agent Activity Panel is one glance that answers it: every agent, every gem, live — working or idle, how long, and what it's burning.
Fan work out across gems and shards and the question is always the same: which agents are actually working right now, which are sitting idle waiting on you, and where are the tokens going? Answering it by clicking shard to shard is exactly the busywork crystl exists to remove.
The Agent Activity Panel collapses that into a single view. Open it from the diamond at the top of the Crystal Rail to see every agent across every open gem, grouped by gem — each shard's live state (working, idle, or done), how long it's been that way, its agent and model, and its context load, output, and estimated turns left. A footer tallies the tokens burned today and across the past seven days.
Want just one project? Click a gem's tile in the rail to focus it, then click it again to scope the panel to that gem alone — the same live activity, condensed to that project's shards. Two clicks, two altitudes: the whole workspace, or one gem.
Why it matters
Working vs idle at a glance
Every agent's live state in one list — a header tallies how many are working versus idle, so you spot the shard that stalled waiting on you without hunting for it.
Grouped by gem
Agents sit under their gem, each with its rail color. Read the whole workspace top to bottom, or click a gem tile to scope the panel to just that project.
See where tokens go
Each row shows context load, output, and estimated turns left; the footer totals tokens burned today and across the last seven days — the whole workspace's spend in one place.
Model and elapsed time per shard
Every row names the agent and model driving it and how long it's held its current state, so a two-minute working shard reads differently from one idle for five hours.
No terminal-hopping
The whole point: stop clicking shard to shard to check on each agent. One panel, floating beside the rail, answers what everything is doing right now.

- How do I open the Agent Activity Panel?
- Click the diamond icon at the top of the Crystal Rail to see every agent across all open gems. To scope it to one project, click a gem's tile once to focus it, then click it again to open the panel for just that gem.
- What's the difference between the all-gems and per-gem views?
- The all-gems view lists every agent grouped by gem, with full token detail and a workspace-wide tokens-burned footer. The per-gem view condenses to just that gem's shards and their live state — handy when you only care about one project.
- Does it work with agents other than Claude Code?
- Yes. The panel reflects live activity and token usage for any CLI agent running in a shard — Claude Code, Codex, and others — since it reads each shard's state and transcript, not a Claude-specific hook.
- How does it know an agent is idle versus working?
- It tracks each shard's live status and how long it's held it, so a shard mid-turn shows as working while one waiting on you shows idle with the elapsed time.
- Where do the token numbers come from?
